Bowen Street Community Centre is a community organisation run by a Committee of Management for the local community. It is an Incorporated Association with strong community connections. It was established in 1983 as the Neighbourhood House for Glen Iris, Camberwell and Hawthorn East.
The Committee of Management meets monthly to discuss issues concerning the centre.
Bowen Street also has a small but dedicated staff that coordinates the running of the centre on a daily basis.
Members of our centre are encouraged to participate and get involved in the various activities that happen here.
